A Premature Celebration Will Lead To Public Embarrassment

We have all seen people celebrate prematurely, and almost always those people don’t go on to win what they were celebrating.

The video below shows the final moments of Britain’s Via Roma Cirencester Twilight Criterium, where cyclist Jamie Wilkins believes he has won the race before actually finishing it.

He pumps his arm in the air in triumph but fails to notice the second place cyclist, Jamie Penton, coming in behind him. Penton zooms by in the final second of the race and comes in first, leaving Wilkins to celebrate a second place victory.

Be sure to notice the man wearing a green shirt on the sidelines. His face goes from sweet victory to pure horror in an instant.
